Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd battle for 21-goal sensation
A host of Premier League giants are keeping tabs on in-form Lille striker Jonathan David, according to a report.
The Canadian is once again in the news. After overcoming his early-season drought, David is now back in the goals and then some. The 24-year-old has netted 14 times in all competitions for Lille so far in 2024 and this has, unsurprisingly, put his name back on the radar of Europe's elite.
Highly rated from a young age, David has yet to reach the heights he had previously been tipped for, but that could change in the near future. Already in January, the Canadian was being linked with a Premier League move, though nothing ultimately materialised given the financial issues of some of England's biggest clubs.

FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Man Utd and Aston Villa were eyeing the forward in the winter, while Brentford had discussed the possibility of making him Ivan Toney's replacement. Since then, David has gone from strength to strength and more big names are now keen.
Arsenal, Chelsea enter the fray
That's according to HITC, which reports that Arsenal and Chelsea have joined Man Utd on the long list of admirers. Tottenham and West Ham are also said to hold an interest in light of his scintillating recent form.
All of these clubs have been scouting the 24-year-old in recent times, though it is not clear whether David is a top target for any of them. Chelsea, for example, are desperate to land Victor Osimhen, while Arsenal are also still firmly in the mix, though they are leaning more towards Viktor Gyokeres, as revealed by FootballTransfers.

Given that Ivan Toney will also be available in the summer, it is not set in stone that David will at last get his move to one of England's biggest clubs. Nevertheless, the Canadian will be one to watch in the upcoming transfer window.
