PSG target Liverpool star to replace Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain are already thinking about life after Kylian Mbappe, with the forward on course to join Real Madrid this summer, and the French giants could turn to a Liverpool star as a potential replacement.
Mbappe is set to leave PSG at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract and talks are already underway for him to move to Real on a free transfer, with an agreement expected to be reached in the coming weeks.
PSG are resigned to the departure of Mbappe and have begun to scout replacements, leading to links to players such as Rafael Leao, Marcus Rashford and Lamine Yamal.

However, the previously mentioned players may prove difficult for PSG to sign and the Daily Mail have claimed that Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has emerged as a candidate to replace Mbappe.
Diaz has endured a turbulent campaign so far, with the Colombian still searching for consistent performances after dealing with the kidnapping of his father and recovery from a long-term injury.
With Jurgen Klopp also set to leave his post in the summer, Liverpool are reluctant to cause more upheaval, particularly with strong interest expected in Mohamed Salah.
Diaz returning to form after horror injury
Diaz joined Liverpool for an initial fee of €45 million and the 27-year-old has proven to be a fan favourite, having scored 14 Premier League goals in 57 appearances.
The forward spent six months on the sideline last year with a knee injury but he has since become integral to Klopp’s side, with Virgil van Dijk the only outfield player to play more minutes than Diaz this season.

After a slow start to the campaign, Diaz has provided six goals and two assists in his last 14 games across all competitions, although it has only been some poor finishing in recent games that has prevented him from adding to his total.
Diaz still has three years to run on his contract at Anfield and has shown no desire to leave the club, meaning it would take a substantial offer from PSG to test Liverpool’s resolve in the summer.
