Liverpool urged to SELL Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol believes that Trent Alexander-Arnold is expendable because Conor Bradley is waiting in the wings.
The Liverpool vice-captain is facing an uncertain future. Alexander-Arnold's contract is up in 2025 and this has caught the attention of Real Madrid. While Los Blancos are not expected to make an offer this summer, they could make a move should the Reds fail to agree fresh terms with their homegrown hero.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are yet to open talks with the 25-year-old over a new deal. The Anfield club are still in the process of reshaping their recruitment structure and, of course, a new coach will have to be appointed in the summer as well. Yet, the Premier League giants can ill afford to drag their heels knowing that Real Madrid are lurking.

However, according to club legend Steve Nicol, the Reds should consider selling Alexander-Arnold should Real already come calling this summer. He believes that his former side are well set in the right-back department thanks to the stunning emergence of Conor Bradley this season.
Liverpool should consider Trent sale
The ESPN pundit said of Liverpool's vice-captain: "Trent Alexander-Arnold is not a good defender, but he is so good going forward. If Real Madrid were to offer, I don't know, 60, 70, 80 million, when you’ve got a young kid in Conor Bradley, who is a miles better defender but is great going forward - [but] isn’t in the same class as Trent - so it depends on the next manager, whether it’s a possibility.”
Bradley underscored his growing knack for offensive output in Northern Ireland's game with Scotland on Tuesday. The young full-back netted a brilliant strike that ultimately proved to be the winner.

In just 18 senior appearances for Liverpool this term, the 20-year-old has notched a goal and six assists, starring in the absence of Alexander-Arnold. Teammate Andrew Robertson recently tipped the right-back to become a 'top, top player.' Perhaps Liverpool really should consider selling Alexander-Arnold.
