'The end is near' - Social media reacts to Antony's brilliant FA Cup equaliser
Antony rescued Manchester United in the 87th minute of their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The Brazilian was brought off the bench during the second-half and he netted an equaliser in the dying embers of the match.
Erik ten Hag’s side had taken the lead through Scott McTominay, but were pegged back before half-time by a quick-fire double from Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah.

However, with Liverpool edging towards a place at Wembley, Antony stepped up with just his second goal of the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old swivelled inside the penalty area and fired a right-footed shot past the outstretched hand of Caoimhin Kelleher to draw Man Utd level and send the game to extra-time.
"Somehow, @ManUtd are still in the @EmiratesFACup!" 😲

Antony’s only other goal this season came during the Red Devils’ win over Newport County in the FA Cup Fourth Round, while that game is also the only match in which Antony has provided an assist this campaign.
However, Antony is yet to score or assist in 26 games across the Premier League, Champions League and League Cup.
As a result, his goal came to the surprise of many fans on social media.
What has been said about Antony?
Antony actually scored with his right foot as well I’m in disbelief. Credit where credit is due 👏🏾

Conceding an equaliser to Antony.
Liverpool should probably just fold the club, there’s no way back from an embarrassment like that.— Paddy Power (@paddypower) March 17, 2024
Letting Antony score might be the biggest stain on Klopp’s legacy

No matter what happens, Liverpool conceded a goal to Antony, even if they win they've lost.
