Man Utd discover release clause amount for Boca Juniors wonderkid Anselmino
Manchester United have Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino on their radar, according to reports.
The Red Devils have been linked to a number of central defenders ahead of the summer transfer window and now the suggestion is that they are hot in pursuit of the 18–year-old.
According to TyC Sports journalist Julio Pavoni, the club are closely monitoring Anselmino and have already visited La Bombonera to scout the defender.
EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd's No.1 choice to replace Ten Hag revealed - and it's NOT Southgate
It’s believed that Man Utd intend to send the youngster out of loan straight away should they sign him. Anselmino is under contract at Boca until 2028 and his release clause is set at just £17.2 million.
Ineos chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already announced his intention to be shrewd in the transfer market and a deal for the teenager would signify just that.
Anselmino, who is also linked to AC Milan, was recently asked about his ambitions for the future ahead of the summer window.

But he told Argentine publication Ole that he is solely focused on matters at his current club. He said: “My head is here in Boca. I want to win a title here and win titles with this shirt. Nothing came from outside.”
Thomas Frank is Man Utd’s top target
It comes after FootballTransfers’ exclusive story that Man Utd have Brentford’s Thomas Frank as one of their biggest candidates to take over the reigns from Erik ten Hag.
Though Gareth Southgate s admired by Sir Dave Brailsford, he is far from a unanimous choice among the Red Devils’ new hierarchy.
We were told that the Premier League giants would like Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who Brailsford is a huge fan of, but the Italian is seen as an unrealistic target.
