Greenwood's Man Utd return looking likelier than ever
Mason Greenwood is pushing for a return to Manchester United as new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe leaves the door open to the exiled forward.
Greenwood was sent out on loan to Getafe in September amid accusations of serious sexual offences, charges which were ultimately dropped.
He has since contributed six goals and five assists to Getafe's La Liga cause, and his performances have reportedly caught the eye of Barcelona.

But Greenwood would rather return to Manchester, with his parents' marriage under strain due to the fact father and agent Andrew is with him in Spain while mother Melanie remains back home in Cheshire.

Player and club open to return
"He thinks a lot of their problems could be solved if he went back to United," a source told The Sun's Richard Moriarty. "He's very close to his parents, so it's one of the reasons why a move back home could happen."
Ratcliffe's regime is falling into place, meanwhile, the INEOS chief having paid the Glazers more than £1 billion for a 25 per cent stake in United that will give him 'sporting control'.

It is understood that Erik ten Hag would welcome Greenwood back into the squad with Antony, a player in his position, having failed to score or assist in 20 Premier League games this season.
Ratcliffe "wants to speak to the fans' group and other senior club officials about Greenwood before making a final decision," reports The Sun's Kealan Hughes, but he is "understood to be open to welcoming Greenwood back to the club, along with fellow outcast Jadon Sancho."
Sancho has spent the second half of the season back on loan at Borussia Dortmund, but unlike Greenwood has failed to rediscover his best form away from Old Trafford with just two assists from his seven games in the Bundesliga.
