The Ivory Coast international has shone for Sporting CP so far this season and he was once again excellent during their 3-0 win over Arouca this weekend.

Diomande’s team-mates Viktor Gyokeres and Goncalo Inacio have also been heavily linked with a big-money move away this summer - with the former named a priority target by Arsenal - while Sporting boss Ruben Amorim could also be on his way out too.

Which club will Ousmane Diomande join?

According to Portuguese media outlet A Bola (via Anfield Watch), Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested in signing Diomande this summer.

FootballTransfers have previously reported that he has no preference regarding which team he may join this summer.

Diomande has a release clause of €80 million included in his current Sporting contract and the Portuguese giants are set to demand that fee is paid in full to sanction a sale.

The 20-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring two goals and one assist.

Although there are five teams currently interested in signing Diomande, Chelsea and Arsenal are seemingly leading the race for his signature having sent scouts to watch him in action at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Diomande would likely be a back-up to William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes at the Emirates Stadium, while he could replace the ageing Thiago Silva at Chelsea, who is expected to leave the Blues at the end of the 2023-24 season.
