Leny Yoro preference REVEALED as Real Madrid plan emerges

Lille’s highly-rated 18-year-old centre back Leny Yoro is one of the most sought-after players of the upcoming transfer window.

European giants like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with a move for the emerging young defender, who is under contract at Lille until 2025.

The Ligue 1 side would like to keep Yoro away from PSG’s clutches and the player’s preference for his next club has now been revealed.

Sport discloses that Yoro would like to move to Real Madrid, another strong contender for his signature, with a host of French players ready to welcome the under-23 international to the Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappe is set to arrive on a high-profile free transfer this summer, where he will star alongside the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

It is believed that Yoro’s entourage is of the opinion that Madrid is the best place for his development.

One issue Madrid would like to overcome, however, is Lille’s asking price.

Although Yoro has just over a year on his current Lille contract, the club are set to ask for €60 million from any buying club.

That is more than los Blancos are willing to pay, according to Sport, who say that Madrid value the player at €40m.

Madrid want to loan Yoro back to Lille until 2025

In order to facilitate a deal, it has been reported that Madrid hope to pay €40m for Yoro this summer but allow Lille to keep him on loan until the summer of 2025.

With Nacho Fernandez about to sign a new, one-year contract extension, that would open up a space in the squad for Yoro to fill next year.

Madrid have struggled due injuries in the central defensive area this season with the likes of Eder Militao and David Alaba among their long-term absentees.

Yoro has become a mainstay of Lille’s defence this season as Paulo Fonseca’s side push hard for Champions League qualification.

Lille are currently third in the French top flight, behind PSG and Brest, and beat Lens 2-1 on Friday night.
