CONFIRMED: Tottenham monitoring Serie A attacker who shares agent with Dragusin and Vicario
Tottenham are admirers of Albert Gudmundsson of Genoa ahead of the summer transfer window, with the player’s agency having already struck two deals with the club in recent windows.
The Iceland international, who was on hand to score a hat-trick on Thursday in a European Championship qualifying game against Isreal, is being considered by the Spurs recruitment as competition for Richalison.
Gudmundsson is also liked by Inter Milan and it’s thought that he is likely to leave the Rossoblu in the summer window.

The 26-year-old is a client of Roma-based agency GG11, who also have Radu Dragusin and Guglielmo Vicario among their clientele.
Last week, Gudmundsson mirrored the feat of Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2003, when the former Manchester United striker single-handedly secured a 6-0 victory over Scotland and thereby ensured the Netherlands' qualification for the European Championship in Portugal that summer.
Gudmundsson's latest hat-trick is his second for the senior national team, with his first being in 2018 during a friendly against Indonesia in Jakarta, only his second appearance with the side.

The attacker he has been playing support striker in a front two this season for Genoa, while he is also capable on the flanks. He has notched up 10 Serie A goals and three assists in 27 matches so far this campaign. FootballTransfers Estimated Transfer Value algorithm ranks the forward at €10.8million - while he is considered the best Icelandic striker playing today.
Who is Albert Gudmundsson?
Gudmundsson has been one of the best players in Serie A in the early weeks of the 2023-24 season.
He has scored four goals in all competitions, which included a brace in the 2-2 draw with Udinese on October 1. In the process, he became the first Icelandic player ever to score a double in Serie A. It would have been a hat-trick had he not had another goal narrowly disallowed for offside.
Gundmundsson is a skilful, technical, creative attacker who is an expert dribbler and twists and turns his way past opponents. He is quick, especially over the first five meters and likes to try a through pass.
The Icelandic international played a key role in Genoa’s promotion from Serie B in 2022-23, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 36 games.
He comes from a footballing family. His father and mother were both famous Iceland internationals, while his grandfather Ingi Bjorn Albertsson was the top scorer of Iceland’s top division from 1987 to 2012.
Gundmundsson’s great-grandfather Albert was Iceland’s first ever professional footballer, who played for AC Milan and Arsenal in the 1940s.
He joined Genoa in 2022 for €1.2m from AZ after four successful years there. He previously failed to make the grade at PSV after excelling with their reserve team, and before that with Heerenveen’s youth team.
