Arsenal face fresh Aaron Ramsdale threat
Newcastle have reignited their interest in Aaron Ramsdale, according to a report.
The Gunners shot-stopper wants out after being supplanted by Brentford loanee David Raya. Ramsdale is looking to become a number one again and will look for a move in the summer.
Fabrizio Romano revealed two weeks ago that Arsenal don't want to lose Ramsdale but that they won't stand in his way if he makes his desire to depart clear. According to the transfer expert, Raya's loan has already been made permanent and is only awaiting an official announcement.

Where Ramsdale could end up should he leave the Emirates is not yet clear. After initially losing his place to Raya, Chelsea were heavily linked with the 25-year-old due to Robert Sanchez failing to impress. However, it is unclear whether the Blues are still keen after the emergence of Djordje Petrovic.
It seems as though Ramsdale's future may lie outside of London.
Newcastle keen on Ramsdale (again)
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have reignited their interest in the Gunners shot-stopper. The Magpies already eyed Ramsdale in January after the news that Nick Pope would face a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
Nothing ultimately materialised but admiration for Ramsdale remains, driven by head coach Eddie Howe, who worked with the England international at Bournemouth. Newcastle, it is claimed, are looking for younger competition for Nick Pope with 35-year-old Martin Dubravka potentially leaving the club in the summer.

A move to Newcastle will ultimately depend on Arsenal's asking price. The Magpies are struggling to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and will not be able to break the bank on a goalkeeper when there are arguably more pressing positions that need reinforcements.
As reported in March, Arsenal already have a possible replacement for Ramsdale lined up in Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte. The 23-year-old is also being courted by Man Utd after establishing himself as one of Major League Soccer's best shot-stoppers.
