Brian Brobbey to Man Utd: The state of play - Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on reports that Brian Brobbey is in serious talks to join Manchester United.
The Ajax striker has been in fantastic form this season and this has led to reports in recent weeks that United are working on bringing him to Old Trafford in the summer.
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag is a long-time fan of Brobbey and had been interested in signing the 22-year-old last summer.
Brobbey has scored a fantastic 21 goals in 39 games in all competitions this season, despite Ajax enduring another miserable campaign as a team.

But Romano says that the former Leipzig striker, who has won one cap for the Netherlands national team, has no concrete talks with United so far.
What did Romano say?
“We’re also seeing fresh rumours about Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, who is being linked with both (Manchester) United and Arsenal,” Fabrizio Romano said to CaughtOffside for his exclusive Daily Briefing.
“My understanding, however, is that there is nothing concrete to this story so far. Brobbey has been linked with Man United since Ten Hag joined as manager, while I’m not aware of anything else with Arsenal at this stage.

“Ajax will discuss Brobbey’s future in the summer but, again, we need to see who they pick as their new manager and what kind of strategy they want to adopt.”
Brobbey was asked about the reports linking him to Man Utd last week and named them as one of three clubs he would consider joining in the future.
"I think I'm doing quite well," he said. "I still want to achieve many great things in my career, such as playing for a very big football club.
"Real Madrid is a beautiful club. Arsenal, Manchester United…
"How much am I worth? After the European Championships, €80m. Going to the European Championships is also a dream of mine."
Brobbey has rebuilt his career after returning to Ajax, scoring 35 goals in 83 games since returning from a dismal spell at Leipzig.
He was a massive flop at Leipzig in the 2021-22 season, failing to score a goal after a big money move.
He returned to Ajax the next year.
