Sevilla have endured a difficult 2023-24 season and find themselves in 14th place in La Liga with eight games to go.

Despite the team's struggles, En-Nesyri has still had a decent individual campaign, scoring 10 goals in 25 league games.

The striker remains under contract until 2025 but Sevilla are expected to cash in this summer.

And, Chelsea prospect David Datro Fofana is one of their top replacement targets, according to Relevo.

Fofana disappointed at Bundesliga club Union Berlin in the first half of the season, but he is now having a much better time under Vincent Kompany at Burnley - the Belgian has scored four times in nine appearances.

However, while he is deserving of a loan move to a bigger club, Chelsea should avoid sending him to Sevilla.

Why Chelsea should not send Fofana to Sevilla

Chelsea must learn from their Premier League rivals' mistakes when it comes to dealing with Sevilla.

Manchester United and Tottenham are reportedly frustrated with the La Liga club for their handling of Hannibal Mejbri and Alejo Veliz, respectively.

Sevilla, who are battling to avoid relegation, decided to sign the two young players on loan in January.

And, they must have pledged to give them first team football, otherwise United and Spurs would not have agreed to the deals.

However, Mejbri has made just one start for the Andalusian club, in a 3-2 win over Real Sociedad, and has only made three more appearances as a substitute.

As for Veliz, he is yet to start a game in Seville, and has also came off the bench three times - for a combined 23 minutes of action.

As a result, the two Premier League clubs are "angered" by their respective situations, according to AS.

Both players will return to their clubs in the summer, and will probably be sent on loan to other clubs ahead of the 2024-25 season.
