William Gallas has tipped Chelsea to make a stunning double swoop for Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.

The Blues are set for another busy summer transfer market after another dismal season.

Although Chelsea are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, they have fallen well short in the Premier League once again as they are down in ninth place with no chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

This is despite Todd Boehly spending over €1 billion on transfers since buying the club in 2022.

This summer Chelsea are expected to bring in more experienced players, and they have been linked to both Rashford and Fernandes.

Gallas, who starred for Chelsea during the 2000s, believes a double deal would be great for his former side.

What did Gallas say?

“Both Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes could be good options for Chelsea,” Gallas told Gambling Zone.

“Both are quality players. Bruno could definitely be the kind of midfielder who has the quality to play in the number ten role where Chelsea lack strength.

“Chelsea are a team of young players and Bruno Fernandes has the leadership qualities to get through certain periods. He’d be a good signing if the rumours are true.”

The futures of both Rashford and Fernandes are very much under scrutiny this summer.

Rashford could be sacrificed after a disappointing season in which his motivation has been questioned.

Bruno, meanwhile, turns 30 this year and this could be the last chance for United to get a decent fee for the attacking midfielder.

Chelsea will likely have to sell players first before moving for Rashford and Bruno as they are under Financial Fair Play scrutiny.
