'Man Utd are a banter club' - Social media reacts to Coventry's FA Cup comeback
Manchester United blew a 3-0 lead to Coventry City in their FA Cup semi-final, with the Championship side scoring three second-half goals to force extra-time.
Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire had put Erik ten Hag’s side 3-0 up after 58 minutes and the Red Devils’ looked as though they had already secured their place in the final.
However, a spirited Coventry side fought back with goals from Ellis Simms, Callum O’Hare - via a massive deflection - and Haji Wright forcing the game into extra-time. Wright netted the equaliser with a 95th minute penalty after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the 18-yard box.

It means Man Utd have now conceded 10 goals in their last four games in all competitions, with Ten Hag’s side fluffing the chance to set up a second consecutive FA Cup final against Manchester City.
The Red Devils’ late collapse at Wembley was reminiscent of their 4-3 loss to Chelsea earlier this month - a game in which they conceded in both the 100th and 101st minute as Cole Palmer stepped up for the Blues.
Coventry’s comeback came after a half-time formation change from Robins, who opted to move away from a back five system following a disappointing first 45 minutes. The momentum of the match shifted after Simms finished neatly in the 71st minute, with goals from O’Hare and Wright forcing extra-time.
