Romano announces Man Utd DISASTER
Fabrizio Romano has provided a worrying update on Manchester United's personnel situation ahead of the FA Cup semi-final with Coventry City.
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has had to deal with some major injury issues this season and the Dutchman has made sure to pin a fair bit of the blame for the Red Devils' underwhelming campaign on a lack of options.
Ahead of Man Utd's FA Cup semi-final clash with Championship side Coventry City, Ten Hag has received some more bad injury news. According to Fabrizio Romano, three more players have gone down ahead of the game, including young defender Willy Kambwala.

This leaves the Red Devils with just one fit senior centre-back available in the form of Harry Maguire. 18-year-old Louis Jackson has been called up to the first team and could feature, though Romano claims that Ten Hag has experimented with Casemiro in a centre-back role in recent training sessions.
In addition to Kambwala, Mason Mount is yet again injured and Sofyan Amrabat will also miss the fixture.
Romano on Man Utd's disaster
"I'm told that Erik ten Hag was forced in the last 24, 48 hours to test Casemiro as a centre-back because he only has Harry Maguire as a fit centre-back," Romano said on his YouTube channel. "It's a disaster in terms of injuries. He mentioned that it is more than 60 separate cases of injuries or illness for Man Utd players this season."
"More than 60! It's around 64, 65, so it's an incredible situation for Man Utd. Too many injuries. This is absolutely not normal. This is why Man Utd have already started an internal discussion about that. They have to fix this and they will fix this in the summer, with INEOS already thinking about that in terms of staff."

"Man Utd will sign an important centre-back in the summer. We mentioned players like Bremer, players like [Jean-Clair] Todibo, like [Jarrad] Branthwaite, Antonio Silva; all of them being scouted by Man Utd and then, it's important to say that Man Utd will also consider the chance to sign two centre-backs in case they see an opportunity on the market based on what's going to happen with Raphael Varane."
