West Ham BACK IN for Maguire as Man Utd's replacement shortlist swells to FIVE
West Ham are reportedly ready to launch another effort to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United, with the Red Devils looking to buy more than one replacement.
Maguire has enjoyed something of a resurgence under Erik ten Hag this season, but his 20 Premier League appearances can be attributed in large part to injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans.
Their loss has been Maguire's gain, and he will go to the Euros this summer as one of England's first-choice centre-backs. But that is not a status who would otherwise enjoy at Old Trafford.

West Ham tried to sign Maguire last August after United accepted their £30 million bid, but the player turned it down. But they are set to try again.

'Goodbye' Maguire
"Man Utd, in addition to Varane now [being] out of [their] plans, another centre-back could say goodbye in June: Maguire," transfer specialist Rudy Galetti posted on X (formerly Twitter).
"West Ham are still monitoring Harry, with United open to letting him go in the summer."

United are set to have a clear out next summer, which will be the first transfer window Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 'sporting control' will really come into effect after his £1.3 billion buy-in in December.
"Many names are on the list as possible replacements," Galetti continued. "[Gleison] Bremer, [Antonio] Silva, [Goncalo] Inacio."
Whilst FootballTransfers is aware United's interest in those three players, it is understood the domestic market could hold greater interest.
As revealed exclusively by Jacque Talbot in March, the club are ready to go all in to beat rivals to the signature of Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite. They are also looking to sign Fulham's Manchester City academy graduate Tosin Adarabioyo.
With Varane and Maguire both for sale, United are at least likely to buy more than one of the shortlisted players.
