Five players who could leave Tottenham this summer
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a brilliant first summer transfer window under Ange Postecoglou, with the Australian manager recruiting well in 2023.
James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie all arrived - and have succeeded - and Spurs will be looking for a similarly productive summer window in 2024.
However, they may need to sell players first in order to afford their lucrative transfer targets.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave Tottenham this summer.

Giovani Lo Celso

The Argentine has mostly been used as a bench option and he is set to push for an exit amid links with several Spanish clubs.

Bryan Gil
Bryan Gil has only started two Premier League matches this season and the Spaniard may look to leave Spurs in order to find more regular first-team football. He spent last season on loan at Sevilla and a return to LaLiga is certainly deemed a possibility.
Gil will have two years left on his existing deal at Tottenham when the summer transfer window opens and a permanent departure is on the cards.
Ryan Sessegnon
Ryan Sessegnon has played just 15 minutes of competitive football since February 2023, with the former Fulham winger struggling immensely with hamstring injuries.
His contract at Tottenham is due to expire in 2025, and it may be time for the club to cut their losses and offload the Englishman.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
There was significant transfer speculation regarding Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg during the January window, but he remained at Tottenham despite interest from numerous European clubs.
However, the Denmark international could finally leave north London this summer, amid links with Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Tottenham shouldn't have too much problem moving him on as there is lots of interest.
Emerson Royal
Emerson Royal has played second fiddle to Pedro Porro this season and the Brazilian is one of the more likely candidates to leave Tottenham when the summer window opens.
Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr reportedly made an approach in January, and while it was rejected, Spurs may be open to selling Emerson this summer instead.
