Yuito Suzuki has impressed with his performances in Denmark in 2023/24.
The Japanese youth international has become one of the most exciting talents in the Danish top flight and a whole host of bigger European clubs, including the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham, are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.
The skilful, ambidextrous Brondby attacker is bound to break into the senior Japan side sooner rather than later and a big transfer may not be long in coming either. So who is Yuito Suzuki and how good is he really?

What position does Suzuki play in?
Suzuki is primarily a striker, though he can also be used in different roles across the frontline.
How good is Suzuki?
Suzuki first impressed in his native Japan at high school level and was eventually snapped up by J1 League club Shimizu S-Pulse for whom he often featured as a midfielder though his future would ultimately lie at centre-forward. Never the most prolific, Suzuki still impressed enough to be rewarded with a call-up to Japan's senior national team in 2022 as one of the players to replace Celtic's Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate. He did not get on the pitch, however, and is still waiting for his first appearance.
Having done well in J1, French side Strasbourg decided to take a punt on the youngster, loaning him with an option to buy in 2023 but he failed to leave his mark in Ligue 1 and returned to Shizuoka with just three appearances for Strasbourg's first team under his belt. Despite this, Suzuki soon headed back to Europe, signing for Brondby on a four-year deal.
His fortunes have massively improved in Denmark. Suzuki has become one of the Superliga's most interesting players due to the fact that he really isn't a traditional striker even though he plays in the position. Quick, tricky and good with both feet, Suzuki's biggest assets are his technical ability and movement rather than a poacher's instinct.
At the time of writing, Suzuki has netted a very impressive ten goals and recorded seven assists in 25 outings for the Copenhagen outfit. This form has attracted the attention of big-name clubs, including the likes of Liverpool and Man City, according to Bold. Asked by the Danish outlet about the interest from England and elsewhere, Brondby director of football Carsten Jensen admitted that Suzuki is in demand.
"I don't know where they got that information from. I have of course seen the clubs that visit Brondby and I can recognise some of those clubs there. But apart from that, Suzuki is just a skilled player with a flair you don't see every day." Indeed, the exciting attacker is one of the most unique players in Northern Europe at the moment and it appears to be only a matter of time before he gets a big move.

Brondby's director of football Carsten Jensen has stated that the club's objective is to keep Suzuki until 2025.
"As a starting point, we would like to keep him, but you can never say never in this industry. The goal is, of course, for him to stay in Brondby for a slightly longer period before moving on. The goal is for him to play for Brondby next season."
