Romano provides key update on Smith Rowe's Arsenal future
Emile Smith Rowe could leave Arsenal if a suitable offer arrives this summer, but the Englishman is not guaranteed to depart the Emirates Stadium.
Smith Rowe, 23, was a key player during the early months of Mikel Arteta’s tenure at Arsenal, but his game time has diminished significantly over the past two seasons.
The attacking midfielder has mustered just 669 minutes of action across 33 appearances in all competitions since the start of the 2022-23 campaign.

In January, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Smith Rowe would remain at Arsenal until at least the summer transfer window, despite reports to the contrary, while we understand that West Ham United and Aston Villa are among the clubs who expressed interest in the Englishman during last season.
Although Smith Rowe is wanted by numerous Premier League clubs, he is not guaranteed to leave the Gunners this summer.

Transfer expert Romano provided an update on Smith Rowe’s future to CaughtOffside.
“I’m aware of talk of a meeting being scheduled between Emile Smith Rowe and Arsenal, but my understanding is that nothing has been decided on this yet,” he said.
Romano added: “I think it’s an open situation based on proposals, but at the moment I’m still hearing it’s a quiet situation. Let’s see in the next weeks if clubs join the race.”
Smith Rowe currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €13.4 million, which has drastically reduced amid his lack of minutes at Arsenal. The former Huddersfield Town loanee’s ETV was as high as €39.8m in August 2022, but his value has dropped due to his limited role under Arteta.
His contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire in 2026 and if Smith Rowe leaves Arsenal this summer, he will depart with two Community Shields and 18 first-team goals to his name.
