Arsenal target Serie A star amid Zirkzee competition
Arsenal are reportedly targeting a move for Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram following his excellent debut campaign at San Siro.
The 26-year-old joined Inter on a free transfer last summer, upon the expiration of his Borussia Monchengladbach contract, and he has 12 goals and seven assists in 32 Serie A matches so far this season.
Thuram has formed a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez and his form has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal.

According to Inter Live, Mikel Arteta’s side are keen on landing Thuram this summer amid Gabriel Jesus’ uncertain future.
FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal would like to keep the Brazilian, while The Sun have revealed Jesus is happy in north London, but an exit has been floated around as a distinct possibility in recent days.
As per Inter Live, an offer of €30 million plus Jesus would convince Inter to sell Thuram, although it remains to be seen if Arsenal would be willing to initiate such a deal considering Thuram was available on a free transfer last summer.
The Gunners have also been linked with Dusan Vlahovic, Viktor Gyokeres and Joshua Zirkzee ahead of the summer transfer window as Arteta looks to sign an out-and-out number nine, despite Kai Havertz’s recent form.

What has been said about Joshua Zirkzee?
Inter legend and current vice-president Javier Zanetti was recently asked about a potential summer move for Zirkzee and he told Radio TV Serie A (as per Metro): “Zirkzee is a great champion. We are talking about a young, talented, intelligent, physically very strong player.
“Someone like that would be useful to any great team aiming for important goals. Let’s see… if the opportunity arises we can think about it.
“With Zirkzee, Lautaro [Martinez] and [Marcus] Thuram we would have a young and strong attack. They would give us peace of mind.”
