Chelsea and Man Utd stunned as Arsenal close in on Sesko
Arsenal are in 'advanced talks' with Benjamin Sesko, according to a report.
The RB Leipzig striker has been one of Europe's most in-demand prospects in recent years after initially starring for RB Salzburg. This season, after joining the Bundesliga side last summer, Sesko has gone from strength to strength.
A super sub in the truest sense of the phrase early on in the season, the Slovenian has established himself as a regular starter in the second half of the campaign. The 20-year-old is heading into the final game of the season in red-hot form, having netted 10 goals and added two assists since late January.

All told, Sesko has scored a more-than-respectable 17 goals in all competitions this term. Linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd, it seems the Gunners now have the upper hand in the battle to land his signature.
Arsenal close in on Sesko
At least that's according to CaughtOffside, which claims that Arsenal are now in 'advanced talks' with the 20-year-old over a summer move. As revealed by FootballTransfers on May 3, Sesko has become the Gunners' priority target ahead of Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres due to his price.
Sesko started the season with a €50 million release clause, a demand from his camp Leipzig had to agree to in their bid to sign him, but Sky Germany has revealed that this figure is not fixed.

Sesko's clause is now thought to stand at €60m-€65m and it could yet rise to as high as €75m if performance-related targets are hit in the Red Bulls' last game against Eintracht Frankfurt. The above-cited report makes no mention of this, which casts a bit of doubt on the claims that Sesko really is close to the Gunners.
The Slovenia international's agent recently posted a picture of himself at Old Trafford, which ignited rumours of a transfer to Man Utd. The Red Devils have admired Sesko for several years.
