Chelsea blasted for 'scandalous' wonderkid transfer
Chelsea have been slammed for looking to spend money on wonderkid Estevao WIllian.
The Blues have not yet wrapped up the deal but they have been criticised for opting to fork out large amounts on the 17-year-old.
Estevao is the latest gem to come out of Palmeiras’ youth ranks, with it thought that the teenage winger could even become better than Endrick, who is set to join Real Madrid in July 2024 when he turns 18 and is no longer classed as a ‘minor’ under FIFA guidelines.

Estevao has three goals and one assist in 18 games, but is showing a great deal of promise for his age.
It’s been reported that the Blues are prepared to pay €65m on the attacker, having agreed an initial fee for the player with his current club.
But UOL pundit Jose Trajano has hit out at Chelsea for the move, saying that there is something not quite right about paying that much for a talent so young.
Chelsea slammed for Estevao deal
He said: “This Estevao boy plays very well, he takes on, he’s a joy to watch. But isn’t the amount of money they’re saying Chelsea will pay a scandalous deal? Because Chelsea have signed some young players who haven’t worked out. So you want to give R$300 million for a 17-year-old… there’s something wrong with this signing deal.

“It’s not possible for a boy who has only played a few times in the first team. Just like Endrick, just like Vitor Roque. I think a lot of people are involved in all this money.”
The deal includes performance-related add-ons and his signature would mark one of several South American players that the Blues have brought in,, including Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Angelo and Kendry Paez, who will arrive in 2025 from Independiente del Valle.
