'We are a CRAZY club' - Chelsea fans react to Pochettino's departure
Chelsea have officially parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino after just one season in charge.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss led the Blues to a sixth place finish in the 2023-24 Premier League campaign, ensuring European football will return to Stamford Bridge next year.
However, his position remained under threat and he mutually agreed to leave the club following a post-season review meeting with co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.

Pochettino won his final five matches in charge of Chelsea, after a late campaign revival, while the Blues picked up the third-highest points tally of any Premier League club during the final 15 games of the season.
But, he was keen to have a larger say in transfer activity and reportedly failed to see eye-to-eye with Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
As a result, Chelsea opted to part ways with Pochettino and the decision was reportedly a mutual one.

According to reports, the Blues are looking to appoint a young and exciting manager as Pochettino’s replacement, with Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness, Girona’s Michel, Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca reportedly on Chelsea’s initial shortlist.
Thomas Tuchel has also been linked with a return, while Roberto De Zerbi and Hansi Flick are also options.
What have fans said about Mauricio Pochettino?
We are a crazy CLUB. I swear. It's tiring.

As far as I'm concerned I don't really mind, Mourinho 2007 was much more difficult. And I was convinced Mourinho would turn it around in 2015 and was really frustrated.
Poch does what he does, I don't mind. I do mind the options to replace being absolutely dreadful— Sébastien (@SebC__) May 21, 2024
Thank you Pochettino for getting us into Europe next season and getting the best out of Cole Palmer 🤝 pic.twitter.com/lwuEbcXx5W

Cannot say I will miss Pochettino much, or that he was elite here. The word I'd use to describe him the most is "steady".
He had us playing like the 4th best team, showed a lot of dignity and improved our players.
Next up: someone who can combine that with modern ideas.— ExpectedChelsea (@ExpectedChelsea) May 21, 2024
This is exactly how I thought it'd go. Was always going to be 'by mutual consent'. Chelsea & Poch ultimately had a huge disconnect on the project, Poch wanted more control on transfers & Chelsea don't want that, not to mention us actively selling players he wants to keep.

As many of us predicted, Pochettino has “left” Chelsea. He didn’t want to leave but he ultimately did because he wasn’t aligned with the owners & directors on how to move forward. He was not going to bend & roll over to some things they were insistent on.

Chelsea fans: Do not sack Pochettino, he deserves another season after a great run of form to get us into Europe.
