Enzo Maresca’s three transfer priorities for Chelsea revealed
Enzo Maresca is primed to be named as Chelsea manager following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season - and the new boss already has his eyes on several upgrades to the squad.
Everything is set for the Leicester boss to take charge at Stamford Bridge, with compensation around the €11.8 million (£10m) mark agreed between the clubs and five members of the Italian's backroom staff also primed to depart. He is expected to sign a five-year contract.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Maresca has already held talks with Chelsea’s sporting directors over recruitment.
The Telegraph indicates that Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart flew out to Spain’s Costa del Sol, where Maresca is presently on holiday in Marbella, to speak with the incoming manager.

Who does Maresca want to sign?
Maresca has agreed with Chelsea’s sporting directors and has pinpointed three positions in particular that he wants to strengthen.
He wants to sign a new goalkeeper, a left-back and a forward when the summer window opens.
No names have filtered out in terms of the identity of who these players might be, but there have already been extensive rumours linking Chelsea with stars in each of these roles.

Maresca is known to want to play in a possession-based style but also with an emphasis on attacking play.
In order to make signings who can comply with the new manager’s style, though, the Blues will first half to sell.
Conor Gallagher is liable to be the big-name player they sacrifice this summer in order to abide by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, but there are numerous others who might also depart.
Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Ian Maatsen – all players who, like Gallagher, came through the Chelsea academy – are earmarked to be offloaded because of the financial benefits of selling such stars.
