Real Madrid are plotting to move swiftly for Leny Yoro to beat his other suitors to his signature, according to French media.

The Lille wonderkid has become Europe's most in-demand centre-back, with the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea all keen on snapping him up this summer. In recent days, Liverpool have also barged into the race and were said to be 'pushing' to sign him.

A regular starter in Ligue 1 since age 17, the defender is expected to depart Lille this year due to his contract expiring next summer. No extension appears to be forthcoming, so the French club will have to cash in on the youngster in the upcoming window.

Real Madrid, it seems, have now appeared to have moved back into pole position to sign the 18-year-old, having made him their priority target following the news that club captain Nacho will depart after more than 20 years this summer.

Real Madrid's Yoro strategy

According to Footmercato, Los Blancos are trying to launch an early, low bid for the wonderkid in hopes of putting pressure on Lille given their weak negotiating position. The Ligue 1 side are, naturally, keen for a bidding war to break out.

Real Madrid are not prepared to pay more than €40 million for Yoro and will table an initial offer of €30m plus bonuses. It is claimed that Los Blancos have told the player to reject the advances from other clubs and, if necessary, to remain with Lille next season and see out his contract should his side show themselves unwilling to accept Real's lowball offer.

Yoro is keen on the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid are trying to exploit that transfer desire to avoid overspending. They are convinced that Yoro is willing to follow their 'orders' to get his move to Spain and that this will tip the scales in their favour.
