Vincent Kompany eyes Man City star as first Bayern Munich transfer
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is reportedly going to become the next head coach of Bayern Munich.
Bayern have been in pursuit of a replacement for Thomas Tuchel since it was decided that he would leave at the end of the season.
The likes of Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi had been linked but it now looks like Kompany is nailed on to take over the Bavarian club.
The Belgian was thought of as one of the most exciting young managers in the game after guiding Burnley to promotion last season.
However, many would have expected that the Clarets' relegation from the Premier League would see his stock diminished.
Yet, it seems that the dismal return of 23 points in 38 games has not affected the Belgian's reputation in the slightest.

SunSport are reporting that Bayern are eyeing up a surprise move for Manchester City's Jack Grealish.
City signed Grealish from Aston Villa for a club-record fee of £100 million but he has not lived up to expectations.
Albeit he is not asked to be the main man at the Etihad Stadium, the 28-year-old does not do enough to influence games.

As a result, he now finds himself below the likes of Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and Bernardo Silva in the pecking order.
He has almost certainly lost his place in England's starting lineup, too, and could even be omitted from the 26-man squad for this summer's European Championship.
So, Grealish could be enticed by the opportunity to team up with Harry Kane at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Not to mention, Kompany's legendary status at City could help with negotiations.
