Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph has cause an issue for Ineos, according to reports.

The club’s hierarchy are weighing up whether or not to sack Erik ten Hag following the conclusion of the campaign.

Despite their worst ever Premier League finish, the Dutchman secured another piece of silverware, overturning Manchester City 2-1 in the FA Cup final.

After Saturday's match, Ten Hag made it clear what would happen if co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe opted to relieve him of his duties.

“If they don’t want me, then I will go somewhere else to win trophies because that is what I do,” he said.

But this means that Man Utd will have to fork out more money as compensation to the former Ajax boss.

The Times reports that Ten Hag wants the club to make ‘a swift decision on his future’ but the victory at Wembley means that the side will have to provide him more money if they were to let him go.

It’s not clear what Man Utd's final decision will be relating to the future of Ten Hag, with the club set carry out a thorough review of the season next week.
