Man Utd to raid Arsenal to help injury woes

Arsenal physio Jordan Reece is set to join Manchester United, who are looking to reduce the amount of injuries to the squad, according to reports.

The Mirror states that Man Utd have made an offer to secure Reece from the Gunners and talks are underway about a departure date.

Following Ineos’ takeover of the club, Man Utd have been reviewing how to improve their injury situation, after being hit with a number of issues during last term.

Dr Gary O’Driscoll, who used to work at Arsenal, is heading the review, it is thought.

The move for Reece would be considered a coup - he is well-known as one of the best in his field and helped players, like Gabriel Jesus, through long term injuries.

The Red Devils have a horrific injury record and the new hierarchy are hopeful of addressing this summer under co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his right-hand man Sir Dave Brailsford.

The pair have already seen the departure of some medical staff but the idea is to bring in more in and vastly improve that area of the club.

Man Utd’s injury woes

Erik Ten Hag has often blamed the catalogue of the side's injuries on their disappointing season, with Lisandro Martinez playing just a handful of minutes last campaign.

Man Utd will be attacking on all four fronts next season, having gained entry to the Europa League thanks to their shock 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup.

Despite their poor form, the Red Devils secured silverware over their rivals, though it’s not clear whether it will be enough to keep Ten Hag in his job at Old Trafford.

The club are also reviewing the coaching department and though the Dutchman has not been sacked, it’s widely reported that they have spoken to a number of potential suitors, including Thomas Tuchel.
