Man Utd face major competition for Branthwaite alternative
Liverpool are set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
The Reds are reportedly in the market for a new centre-back and Guehi has emerged as one of their primary targets as they prepare for life under Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.
The Dutchman will replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager when he steps down at the end of the current campaign after a compensation package was agreed between the two clubs.

With Slot set to take charge, Liverpool are expected to back their new head coach with several new additions during the summer transfer window.
A new central midfielder has been touted as a serious possibility, while signing a future replacement for Mohamed Salah could also be on the agenda, despite the fact he now looks likely to snub Saudi Pro League interest in favour of staying at Anfield.

Man Utd face Marc Guehi competition
Man Utd have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace star Guehi for several months and The Times recently reported that Erik ten Hag’s side are one of the leading contenders to sign the England international.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed there is a “concrete chance” Guehi leaves Selhurst Park this summer, although The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel believes Liverpool is his most likely destination.
He told The Josh & Darko Show (via CaughtOffside): “I think Marc Guehi is an interesting proposition for not only Liverpool but a number of top Premier League clubs.
“Heading into the summer he’ll have two years left on his contract so this summer would be the optimum point if Crystal Palace were going to sell him.
“Unfortunately he picked up that knee injury that required surgery a few weeks ago but he’s close to returning and he’ll definitely be back before the end of the season. From what I understand, that is a live option for Liverpool, I think that is one they’re taking very seriously and one they’re looking at.”
