Man Utd handed transfer boost as €25m star WANTS Old Trafford move
Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat wants to make his loan move to Manchester United permanent this summer.
Amrabat, 27, joined Man Utd on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina on Transfer Deadline Day last summer, with the Red Devils paying a reported €10 million loan fee.
He played a key role as Erik ten Hag’s side pulled off a shock 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final and Amrabat is eager to remain at Old Trafford next season.

Man Utd have the option to buy Amrabat on a permanent deal for an initial €20m plus a further €5m in add-ons thanks to a clause included in his loan move.
Throughout the season, it has looked as though the Moroccan’s time at Old Trafford would end following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, but his late-season form could change things.

What has Sofyan Amrabat said?
Following the Red Devils’ win at Wembley, Amrabat told Ziggo Sport (via The Mirror): “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk.
“Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United it needs to be much better, and also for me personally.
When asked about playing at left-back during the early stages of his Man Utd career, Amrabat replied: “That wasn’t easy. I have always remained calm and trained very hard. Ultimately, that patience has been rewarded.
“We are going to talk. Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens.”
Amrabat made 30 appearances for Man Utd during the 2023-24 campaign and despite being a rotation option for the majority of the season, he partnered Kobbie Mainoo in midfield during the final four games of the year.
With Casemiro potentially leaving this summer, Ten Hag’s side are likely to purchase a new defensive midfielder and signing Amrabat on a permanent deal is a viable option for the Red Devils.
