Arne Slot confirms Liverpool move: Feyenoord boss will replace Jurgen Klopp
Arne Slot has confirmed that he will replace Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout.
Liverpool's search for a successor to the legendary German has at last come to an end. 45-year-old Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has officially put pen to paper on a contract that will see him become the Reds' new head coach.
"I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next year," Slot said ahead of Feyenoord's Eredivisie game with city rivals Excelsior. The Rotterdam outfit have finished the campaign as runners-up to PSV, currently sitting seven points adrift of Peter Bosz's side and a whopping 15 clear of Twente in third.

Feyenoord claimed the Eredivisie title under Slot last season and have won the KNVB Cup this term after beating Nijmegen earlier this month. Slot also led Feyenoord to their first European final in 20 years in his first season in charge.
Slot to succeed Klopp
It has been an open secret for several weeks that Slot would succeed Klopp at Liverpool. The German announced in January that he would end his almost nine-year stint this summer.
Klopp took charge of the Reds in October 2015 and won ten trophies with the Merseyside outfit, including the Champions League and Premier League. Earlier this year, Liverpool beat Chelsea to win the Carabao Cup.

In recent weeks, Slot openly expressed his desire for the two parties to get a deal done. Personal terms between the Dutchman and Liverpool were not an issue, it was just a question of the compensation that would be due.
Liverpool have reportedly agreed to pay a little over €10 million for the 45-year-old. Feyenoord backed up Slot's exit announcement on social media: "The Arne Slot era is coming to an end... Let's enjoy the last moments."
