Liverpool star set for City Football Group after snubbing Real Madrid
Liverpool Montevideo wonderkid Luciano Rodriguez looks set to join City Football Group, according to his agent.
The Uruguayan youngster is regarded as one of the biggest talents in South America and was linked with a switch to Real Madrid last year. In January, the 20-year-old was one step away from joining Feyenoord in the Eredivisie but the move could not be finalised before the deadline.
Now, his agent has revealed that the youngster has a concrete offer from City Football Group-owned Girona on the table. The Catalans, it seems, have already found their replacement for Man City-bound Savio.

Having recently defeated local rivals Barcelona to secure Champions League football for next season, Girona are looking to make a splash in the market and Rodriguez could be one of their first arrivals.
Agent reveals offer
Speaking to Sport 890, his agent Mauricio Machado revealed everything regarding the talks with CFG and Girona. Rodriguez has "a specific immediate offer from Girona."
“Girona offer the amount that Liverpool asks for. The percentage of the player's rights that would be sold is being negotiated. Liverpool want to keep at least 25 per cent. The contract with Girona would be four or five years."

"Luciano was already talking to [Girona forward Cristhian] Stuani. They talked a lot about the city, the club, the possibility of playing in the Champions League. Girona is a step up because they play in the Champions League, which means going directly to Europe. I think he could play a lot...Luciano prioritizes the possibility of playing."
“Being very optimistic, I think that Luciano is playing his last games for Liverpool. We hope to close everything this month to prevent what happened in January from happening again. If Luciano goes to the Copa América we have to have everything resolved beforehand.”
