Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd: Ranking Benjamin Sesko’s Premier League options
Benjamin Sesko is one of the hottest properties on the transfer market, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all monitoring the RB Leipzig striker.
FootballTransfers revealed on Saturday that Arsenal have already made an offer for the Slovenia international, with the Gunners attempting a lowball bid in the knowledge that Sesko wants to move to them.
Chelsea, though, are moving into position and have launched an offer of their own, while Man Utd have yet to move but have had an interest in the player for months.
But which club should he move to?

Sesko’s future will be dictated by many things, but if money was not a factor, data analytics company SciSports can provide an accurate answer to the question.
Taking into account factors from development and playing time to style and formation, SciSports’ Career Advice tool gives teams a Club Fit score. The higher the score, the more suited the player is to them.

3. Manchester United – Club Fit Score: 68
- Development: **
- Playing Time: ***
- Plating Style: **
- Formation: *
Purely speaking on the basis of improving himself as a footballer, Manchester United have no particular strengths that should attract Sesko.
His game time is likely to be limited by the presence of Rasmus Hojlund at the club, while the Old Trafford side cannot promise him strong development opportunities.
Perhaps this will change with the arrival of a new manager, but with the club dithering over this issue, it should send the promising forward a red flag.
2. Chelsea – Club Fit Score: 72
- Development: ***
- Playing Time: **
- Plating Style: ****
- Formation: *
Although Chelsea appeared to be crying out for a centre-forward last season, SciSports is doubtful that Sesko represents an immediate upgrade on Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku, and therefore give the Blues only two stars for playing time.
Equally, a lack of top-level European football next season is predicted to leave his development at a three-star level.
Formation and playing style, meanwhile, relate to Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure, so Sesko would be advised to speak to Enzo Maresca for advice on this front. As such, Chelsea should not be ruled out.
1. Arsenal – Club Fit Score: 78
- Development: ****
- Playing Time: **
- Plating Style: *****
- Formation: *
Arsenal are the best option available to Sesko among the three principle suitors.
Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he expects Kai Havertz to play as his centre-forward next season, so if Sesko was moving to the Emirates, it would be done under the understanding that he may only be second choice.
There is, however, a long-term plan in place to establish him as a key player.
After season-upon-season of improvement at the Emirates, Champions League football is on offer, and that could sway his decision.
Sesko’s best options
Both Liverpool (80) and Real Madrid (86) score higher than Arsenal, albeit the latter getting a strong score before factoring in the arrival of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer next month. This will naturally hit his potential game time.
According to SciSports, though, Sesko’s best option is remaining at RB Leipzig, who have a Club Fit score of 89 and would appear to offer him the best possible conditions for development.
