Though talk surrounding the Brazilian's future has died down somewhat in recent weeks, Gabriel Jesus continues to be the subject of discussion in Arsenal circles.

In the spring, the former Man City striker was being linked with a switch to Juventus after losing his place to Kai Havertz in Mikel Arteta's side and with the Gunners scouring the market for a new number nine.

Arsenal's search continues and will likely intensify after being rejected by top target Benjamin Sesko, with the Slovenian deciding to extend his stay at RB Leipzig instead.

The fact that the Gunners remain in the market has once again thrown up fresh questions on Jesus' future at the Emirates, questions that now appear to have been answered.

Arsenal willing to sell Jesus

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are not actively putting Jesus in the shop window, but they will be open to suitable offers this summer. This is due to the fact that a major part of the upcoming window's transfer strategy revolves around sales.

Though Eddie Nketiah is the striker who appears most likely to depart north London this summer, the exit of Jesus is also entirely possible. Arsenal are aware that the 27-year-old can offer good cover in wide positions, but his dropping further down the pecking order is not an ideal scenario.

Jesus is on a sizeable salary and the acquisition of a starting-calibre centre-forward would push him down to third choice in that department and this would make his position untenable for financial reasons.

Despite his lack of impact over the past 12 months, Jesus remains one of Arsenal's most valuable players, currently boasting an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €57.2 million.
