European giants 'fear' Arsenal will hijack bargain transfer
Arsenal pose the largest threat to Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Serhou Guirassy, according to German media.
The VfB Stuttgart striker has made the first of two very important decisions. Earlier on Monday, it was revealed that Guirassy has formally told his club that he will leave this summer.
Guirassy has become one of Europe's most in-demand strikers after a stunning Bundesliga season in which he netted a whopping 28 times in as many games. Due to a release clause, he is available for just €17.5 million to €20m.

Though there have been questions about him due to his age and injury record, Bundesliga and Guinea legend Pablo Thiam recently assured FootballTransfers that his compatriot has all the necessary skills to succeed at the highest level.
It is quite fitting, then, that the race to sign him will come down to Champions League finalists and Premier League runners-up.
Arsenal, Dortmund battle for Guirassy
According to Sky Germany, Guirassy will end up at either Borussia Dortmund or Arsenal as things stand. Chelsea and Bayern Munich have dropped out of the race in recent times. AC Milan retain an interest, but it is claimed that Dortmund 'fear Arsenal the most.'
Guirassy has been expected to join the Black and Yellow for some time as the Champions League finalists have been pushing hard to secure his signature in recent weeks despite the exploits of Niclas Füllkrug on the biggest stage.

However, despite Dortmund trying to engineer a move for some time, they have yet to reach any kind of agreement with Guirassy. Indeed, the striker has not made a decision on which club to join, though his choice is expected to be revealed in the coming days.
It would be a surprise if Guirassy were to end up at Arsenal given the energy and time Dortmund have put into the talks with him, but the Gunners are looking at cheap strikers and like the profile of Guirassy as he is quite different to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
