Arsenal’s new striker target fails transfer audition at Euro 2024
Arsenal’s latest striker target Artem Dovbyk failed his transfer audition at Euro 2024.
In the last few days, it has been reported that the Gunners have entered the race to sign the Girona striker.
The Ukraine star enjoyed a spectacular season with Girona in LaLiga, qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Pichichi, the division's Golden Boot with 24 goals.

Arsenal are in the market for a top number nine this summer, having last season often used Kai Havertz in an unnatural striker role due to the poor performances of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
The Gunners have missed out on their first target as Benjamin Sesko agreed a new deal with Leipzig. Meanwhile, Arsenal believe some of their other targets such as Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres may be too expensive.
But Arsenal will not have been too impressed by Dovbyk in his Euro 2024 bow as he struggled to make any mark in the game against Romania.

Ukraine fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to the Romanians, with Dovbyk managing just one shot in the game, with no completed dribbles, no headers won, and being dispossessed twice.
Dovbyk will hope to impress his admirers in the final two games of the group as Ukraine play Slovakia next before meeting Belgium.
Who will Artem Dovbyk join?
Dovbyk has attracted the attention of other clubs this summer also, particularly in Italy, with the striker himself confirming ahead of Euro 2024 that his agent was talking to Serie A sides, with Napoli and AC Milan linked.
The forward also has other Premier League admirers, with FootballTransfers recently revealing that Chelsea have shortlisted the Girona man.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also both been linked with a move for Dovbyk’s Ukraine teammate Georgiy Sudakov, of Shakhtar Donetsk. Sudakov also disappointed in the defeat to Romania.
