Chelsea add two more SURPRISE strikers to shortlist after Alvarez bombshell
Chelsea have added the names of Evan Ferguson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to their striker shortlist, according to reports.
The Blues are desperately trying to sign a new number nine this summer after realising that Nicolas Jackson is still too raw to lead the line for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
New boss Enzo Maresca is hard at work with Chelsea's recruitment bosses trying to find the right solution. It has already been revealed that the Blues have ended their long-standing pursuit of Victor Osimhen due to the overall cost of the operation given that he has a €130 million release clause.

FootballTransfers understands that LaLiga Pichichi winner Artem Dovbyk is one of the names under consideration, while Chelsea's interest in RB Leipzig marksman Benjamin Sesko has long been established. David Ornstein recently revealed that Aston Villa youngster Jhon Duran remains an option after some tentative January interest.
Alvarez bombshell and surprise names
Man City star Julian Alvarez is keen on more game time and is entertaining interest from other clubs. FootballTransfers has been able to reveal that Chelsea are weighing up making a move for the 24-year-old and this news is now also being widely reported elsewhere.
Additionally, two new names have surfaced in recent hours. According to the Daily Mail, Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has emerged as a potential option for the Blues, while journalist Ben Jacobs mentions Evan Ferguson as a target.

It would be a surprise to see Chelsea make a move for the former, given his age (27) and tragic injury history. A pursuit of Ferguson, though he is coming off a bad season, would make a lot more sense.
The Irish teenager remains highly-rated and has previously shown that he can be a reliable goalscorer in the Premier League. Moreover, Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old for some time, with FootballTransfers revealing in January that Brighton had rebuffed an approach for the striker.
