How Chelsea could land millions after selling Bayern and Germany star Musiala for peanuts
Chelsea stand to secure millions if Bayern Munich decide to sell Jamal Musiala, according to reports
.
The 21-year-old, who has been linked with £80million moves to the world's biggest clubs including Manchester City and Liverpool, joined the Bundesliga outfit aged 16, after agreeing a compensation package worth around £170,000 (€200,000).
The youngster has grown incrementally since then in value, with FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) algorithm ranking Musiala at €118.9m - while we class him as the most valuable box-to-box midfielder in the world.

But Chelsea could be set for a huge windfall if he’s sold, even though they did not insert a buy-back clause into the contract. The Daily Mail reports that a sell-on fee worth 20 per cent was included.
How much would Chelsea receive for Jamal Musiala?
Musiala's current contract is due to expire in 2026 and several clubs are keen on the star if Bayern fail to agree on an extension.
If he is moved on for £80m, it means that Chelsea would be due £16m of that transaction, plus any money received via the solidarity mechanism.

Naturally, this would be a boost for the club which is trying to wrestle with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.
Chelsea failed to secure a sell-on clause while negotiating Romelu Lukaku's exit to Everton in 2014, missing out on millions when the striker moved for £75m to Manchester United in 2017.
Bayern will be desperate to keep hold of Musiala and they are hopeful of securing a fresh deal for him.
Chelsea themselves have been linked with Musiala, their former player. The club are looking to bring in the best youngsters to Stamford Bridge in a bid to dominate for years to come.
Musiala has made 155 appearances for Bayern, scoring 41 goals.
