Luke Shaw injury: Five left backs Man Utd should sign
Luke Shaw is out injured again. Despite a lack of minutes for Manchester United last season, he was called up for England’s Euro 2024z squad.
And now he’s picked up another knock.
Shaw has shown himself to be a very capable footballer. In spells, he is arguably one of the best in his position in the world.

But injuries have plagued his career and it’s quite evident now that Man Utd must upgrade the former Southampton man, for he cannot be relied on.
Here we take you through some of the long-term targets Man Utd must look at to replace him.
Tyrick Mitchell
Tyrick Mitchell is a Crystal Palace talent that's flown under the radar somewhat. The fullback missed out on an England spot in Euro 2024 as Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate opted against naming a natural left back other than Shaw.
Ineos want young players with Premier League experience and Mitchell fits the mould on a number of levels.
But with the possible departure of Michael Olise this summer, the prospect of a move is short.
Miguel Gutierrez
It was reported that Man Utd are monitoring Miguel Gutierrez and may attempt to bring the Girona player to Old Trafford - though he has been linked with a move to Arsenal and even Real Madrid, who have a buy-back clause.
A deal would become trickier given that Manchester City' have influence over Girona given their common ownership by City Football Group
Milos Kerkez
Manchester United have made Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez their top left-back target this summer, FootballTransfers reported today.
Kerkez is currently catching the eye with Hungary at Euro 2024, where he has shone, despite his team's poor results.
His performances last campaign have attracted the attention of Man Utd, who are keen to recruit another left-back this summer.
Meanwhile, SciSports also suggests that the youngster would be an excellent fit for Man Utd.
Quilindschy Hartman
Quilindschy Hartman is eager to join Arsenal if the Gunners escalate their interest in the Feyenoord left-back. The Dutch defender has attracted attention from Chelsea and several other Premier League clubs during this summer window.,
The 22-year-old is currently recovering from a serious knee injury and is not expected to return to action until into next season. But if Man Utd opt to take action and bolster the left-back position in 2025., he will be someone that they look at.
Andrea Cambiaso
Andrea Cambiaso only signed fresh terms with Juventus this summer but this huge talent will no doubt be on the list of several clubs.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Aston Villa recently but it's highly unlikely any switch to the Premier League this season at least.
But Cambiaso is very much a Ten Hag player and going forward perhaps the Dutchman could tempt him.
