Man Utd legend Van Nistelrooy approaches deal in England
Ruud van Nistelrooy is well on his way to becoming the new head coach of Burnley, De Telegraaf and several English publications report.
The former PSV coach is approaching an agreement with the English club that was relegated from the Premier League last season. Van Nistelrooy will succeed Vincent Kompany, who left for Bayern Munich following last season's campaign..
According to De Telegraaf, the deal is almost complete.

Van Nistelrooy is currently negotiating the terms of a multi-year contract with Burnley, after which the former Manchester United striker will sign a contract with the relegated team. Burnley was relegated from the Premier League this season: the Clarets finished in 19th place with 24 points from 38 matches.
With Kompany, Burnley had a big name as a head coach, being a Manchester City legend, and the club wanted to bring in the same kind of coach again this time.

Van Nistelrooy to make England return
The former Dutch international must ensure that Burnley can make a push for promotion to the Premier League next season.

The former striker's move to England is not surprising, because the 47-year-old coach announced recently that he would like to work as a trainer in a country where he played football himself. Van Nistelrooy played 219 matches for Man Utd, scoring 150 times and providing 30 assists.
An interesting detail is that Burnley's new coach must make a judgment about the future of Wout Weghorst. The Dutch international still has a contract until next summer at Turf Moor and is interested in FC Twente and Ajax. Kompany did not need Weghorst last year and rented the striker to German side TSG Hoffenheim.
