Manchester United are interested in Baris Alper Yilmaz, according to a report.

The Turkey star is coming off an impressive season with Super Lig champions Galatasaray, recording seven goals and notching 12 assists. This form has also seen him rewarded with a starring role at Euro 2024.

Yilmaz has thus far been everpresent for his country as they charged into the knockout stages with a 2-1 victory over Czechia. A fast and strong right-winger, Yilmaz has appeared on the radar of some big hitters in recent months.

Brighton have been most prominently linked with the wide man, while Bundesliga and Serie A sides have also been associated with the 24-year-old over the past few weeks.

Earlier this year, it was even claimed that Arsenal had begun keeping tabs on Yilmaz and Man Utd are the latest major side to be credited with an interest in the forward.

Man Utd's Antony upgrade?

According to CaughtOffside, the Red Devils are keeping an extra close eye on Yilmaz's performances at Euro 2024. The outlet reports that the Galatasaray star could be had for just €25 million this summer, which tallies with his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €17.7m.

At Man Utd, Yilmaz would come in to boost Erik ten Hag's options on the right wing, which has been a major problem position for the Dutchman. €95 million Antony and €85m Jadon Sancho have both flopped, while Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri have rarely been given a chance, with the latter on the way out.

The Red Devils, of course, will have been intimately familiar with Yilmaz's game even before the Euros as he notched an assist against them in the Champions League last season when Galatasaray ran out stunning 3-2 victors at Old Trafford.
