Revealed: Man Utd target set to snub Red Devils
Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has admitted that he wants to sign a new contract at the club, despite reported interest from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old broke into Barcelona’s senior team last season and he made 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring an impressive 11 goals.
Fermin’s form at club level earned him a call-up for Spain’s Euro 2024 squad, and he is currently with his nation in Germany.

“I hope to stay at Barcelona for many years, it’s my clear wish.”

Man Utd want Fermin Lopez
Fermin’s latest comments will have come as a hammer blow to Man Utd, who are reportedly interested in signing him.
Erik ten Hag’s side are in the market for a new central midfielder and Fermin is on the Red Devils’ radar as they look for new recruits.
In fact, Catalan outlet Sport have reported that Man Utd have already submitted a €30 million bid for the Barcelona man.
However, the report also states that Man Utd will have to increase their offer by a significant margin if they want any chance of landing Fermin this summer.
The cash-strapped Catalans reportedly see him as an important piece of their future unless they receive a bid that is deemed impossible to refuse.
Man Utd currently have the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro and Scott McTominay as midfield options, but Ten Hag is eager to bolster his squad ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
