Man Utd “expect” to complete the transfer of Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite in the coming days, according to a credible report.

Article continues under the video

Branthwaite has been a leading target for United for several months, but the deal is expected to accelerate very quickly from this point, with the Liverpool Echo indicating that the Toffees will struggle to keep hold of the 21-year-old.

The report states that Old Trafford chiefs “expect” that a deal will be done before 30 June.

Although it has been reported that Everton will need to make some big sales before the end of the month in order to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the Echo claims there is a different catalyst for a move now.

It says that Branthwaite being left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad has effectively given Man Utd the green light to hurry through a move.

Man Utd Sancho stance CONFIRMED by Fabrizio Romano

Despite all of the speculation, Man Utd say they are set on selling Jadon Sancho this summer - regardless of who is manager at Old Trafford next season. This from ace transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

Sancho of course was frozen out in Manchester and then offloaded on loan to Borussia Dortmund after that high-profile fallout with current manager Erik ten Hag.

While ten Hag's future remains in doubt, United say they will look to sell Sancho permanently, with the asking price set at £40m.

Tuchel BOMBSHELL as top coach OUT of Man Utd race

We still do not know who will manage United next season, but we do now know it WILL NOT be Thomas Tuchel.

The former Chelsea and outgoing Bayern Munich coach has been a popular name as speculation rages about whether Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co will end the reign of Erik ten Hag after two seasons.

But on Sunday afternoon ace transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tuchel will not continue talks with United after meeting them recently. He will not take on a new job this summer.

Romano added that United will make a decision soon on ten Hag's future, but increasingly all signs are pointing towards him being retained.

Man Utd handed major BOOST in Joao Neves transfer race

Man Utd have been given fresh hope in their bid to sign superstar Benfica midfielder Joao Neves this summer.

The 19-year-old prodigy is one of Europe's hottest properties after helping the Lisbon giants claim the Portuguese title last season.

Joao Neves has skills and a mentality way beyond his tender years, and English clubs in particular are queueing up to sign him.

Yesterday we told you United had lodged a €60m offer for the player as they look to make a marquee summer signing, way short of the €120m release clause in his current Benfica deal.

The Portuguese giants know that figure is unlikely to be met, and their plan was to have Neves sign a new contract and raise the clause to €150m. All the while pushing up the likely end price.

But according to local outlet A Bola, the salary offer put to Neves for that new deal was considerably lower than some of his team-mates. As a result it appears that new deal is now unlikely to happen.

This of course will just increase the pressure on Benfica to cash in on their most prized asset this summer - and likely at a lower price than they would ideally like.

Mason Greenwood says YES to Juventus transfer

Man Utd star Mason Greenwood's future remains the subject of much speculation with the talented young forward apparently set to leave Old Trafford permanently this summer.

Greenwood impressed during a loan spell with Spanish side Getafe in 2023-24 and now reports suggest Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are looking for a permanent buyer in the next few weeks.

Earlier we reported interest from Benfica in signing Greenwood, but it appears the young star has set his sights on a move to Italy - and specifically to Juventus.

Juve are interested in signing Greenwood, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims United would sanction the transfer should the Italians meet their valuation of €35-40million.

One thing the major Italian outlet is sure of - that Greenwood himself is on board with the move.

Fabrizio Romano reveals NEW Man Utd transfer target

Man Utd greatly appreciate Milos Kerkez, according to top transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The Bournemouth left-back is coming off a solid first season in the Premier League, having joined the Cherries from Dutch side AZ in the summer. The Hungarian, regarded as one of the best up-and-coming players in his position, certainly lived up to his potential in 2023/24.

This, unsurprisingly, attracted the interest of bigger fish. Indeed, already over the winter, links to clubs like Chelseaa and Man Utd emerged. Now, with both known to be looking for a left-back this summer, these associations have once again resurfaced.

Man Utd STUN Real Madrid with HUGE Leny Yoro bid

Man Utd are not messing around in their pursuit of Leny Yoro as they look to blow Real Madrid out of the water this summer.

The 18-year-old defensive prodigy appears set to leave Lille soon enough, and that could be this summer with some of Europe's top clubs ready to swoop.

According to respected Spanish outlet Marca, which has the inside track from the Santiago Bernabeu, newly crowned European champions Real Madrid are keen on Yoro, and have told him so.

But per Marca, Real have also told Yoro he will need to be patient and wait until they are ready to make a definitive move for him.

United are looking to take the opportunity to pounce now with that in mind, and have reportedly put in a huge bid of €60m (around £51m) - way above the rest of the market.

Sporting star Inacio's agent authorised to speak to Man Utd

Portuguese defender Goncalo Inacio has been strongly linked with Man Utd in recent days, and it appears things are hotting up in the race to sign the highly-rated 22-year-old defender.

Inacio was one of the stars of Sporting's title success this season, and according to Portuguese outlet Record his agent - Miguel Pinho - has been authorised by the club to speak to potential bidders this summer.

Inacio has a release clause in his current contract of around £51million, so in theory United know what they would have to pay to land him.

Casemiro says Man Utd goodbyes as Saudis set to SWOOP

Casemiro is likely to move to one of the top PIF clubs in Saudi Arabia in the summer after saying his goodbyes to Manchester United teammates following the FA Cup final, FootballTransfers has been told.

We are told that the midfielder was at the post-match party, where he said goodbye to some staff permanently, but was one of the first to leave and got a flight straight to Brazil.

Despite this, club sources have stressed that no final decision has been made in regard to the future of former Real Madrid player, who has two years on his contract plus the option of an extra year.

The idea that Casemiro feigned injury after being snubbed from the starting XI against Manchester City has also been denied.

Man Utd loan FLOP Amrabat confirms next destination

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has confirmed that Sofyan Amrabat wants to stay in the Premier League.

Prade says that he would like for Amrabat to play for Fiorentina next season when he returns from his loan from Manchester United.

However, Amrabat has made it clear that he has no intention of playing for Fiorentina again and wants to continue his football in the Premier League.

Man Utd confirm SIX star exits as transfer window hots up

Manchester United have confirmed the exits of six of their squad members, including Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane.

The club released their retained list on Wednesday but also stated some of the players who would be leaving.

Indeed, Martial is leaving the club after making 317 appearances and nine seasons, in which he netted scored 90 goals and won the Europa League, the FA Cup and two League Cups.

Varane is also departing after 95 appearances, in a tenure that was marred by injury.

Brandon Williams is another significant name poised to leave following the expiry of his contract. Charlie McNeill is set to leave the club after making his debut in 2022.

Marcus Lawrence and Kie Plumley will also exit when their contract is up.

The club stated that they would be talking to veterans Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton over potential new contracts as they submit their retained list to the Premier League.

Man Utd offer defender Harry Maguire to Italian giants AC Milan

Manchester United have offered Harry Maguire to AC Milan, according to MilanPress.

United are reported to be keen to get Maguire off their books due to the fact his contract expires in 2025.

WIth Maguire’s form over the past three years having been so poor, United have no intention to renew his contract and want to earn a transfer fee before his deal expires.

Maguire has been offered to Milan, who are on the lookout for a new central defender as Simon Kjaer has left on a free transfer.

The report adds that it is unclear whether Milan would be interested in taking Man Utd up on their offer as the Rossoneri’s modus operandi in recent years has been to sign younger and cheaper players with the potential to improve and raise their value.
