Murillo himself has now confirmed that he is the subject of significant interest from across Europe. He told Brazilian media (as per The Evening Standard): “I’ve received a few offers. Some official, others sounding out. I’ll take it up with my agent.

“If I stay at Nottingham [Forest], I’ll do my best. If I leave, I hope they respect my decision. I’m calm and analysing it in the best way.”
It’s understood that Nottingham Forest will demand at least €70m for the Brazilian, who made 32 English top flight appearances last season. Chelsea and Real Madrid have previously been linked with a move for Murillo.
Arsenal’s summer transfer plans
While Murillo is on Arsenal’s radar, the Gunners are also pursuing a new central midfielder and a new striker.
Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres has re-emerged as a contender to join the club following news that Benjamin Sesko has signed a contract extension at RB Leipzig, while Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee is also a target.
In addition, the Gunners are set to make a player-plus-cash swap deal offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, as exclusively reported by FootballTransfers.
David Raya is also expected to join Arsenal permanently this summer after a successful loan spell from Brentford during the 2023-24 campaign.
