Real Madrid launch fresh Alphonso Davies offensive - Romano
Real Madrid have made a fresh approach for Alphonso Davies, according to Fabrizio Romano.
After finally announcing the signing of Kylian Mbappe from PSG and thereby ending a jarring two-year transfer saga, Real Madrid are already working on their next major moves.
Los Blancos still have big plans for the summer transfer window, albeit they are, naturally, quite happy with the squad they already have - you know, the squad that just claimed a LaLiga and Champions League double.

Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement and Carlo Ancelotti, Florentino Perez and company are hard at work laying the foundation for further additions.
Following the news that captain Nacho will depart the club after more than 20 years, Real Madrid want to sign Lille wonderkid Leny Yoro. Additionally, they are still interested in Alphonso Davies, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Real make new Davies contact
The saga surrounding Davies had grown a bit cold in recent months due to Los Blancos' interests in Yoro, the final negotiations for Mbappe and the season finale. Now, Los Blancos are back in the game with renewed vigour.
According to Romano, the LaLiga champions have this week made fresh contact with Davies' camp regarding a summer transfer. The conditions for Los Blancos to make their move are still the same as in previous months: they will only sign the Canadian on their terms.
Real Madrid have no intention of paying €50 million or more for the left-back and they won't budge from this position. Davies, meanwhile, still hasn't made a decision on his future.

A contract offer from Bayern remains on the table, and German media has claimed that an extension is now a concrete possibility again following the appointment of Vincent Kompany, but Davies has yet to communicate his final choice.
The relationship between the player and Bayern had grown frosty over the spring due to the club issuing an ultimatum for his extension, but this deadline has long since passed and the talks remain locked. Bayern will try to sell the Canadian this summer if he refuses to accept the new deal.
