Arsenal book medical for SECOND summer signing
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Ajax goalkeeper Tommy Setford and a medical has reportedly been booked ahead of his move to north London.
The 18-year-old has just one year left on his current Ajax contract and the Eredivisie giants have reluctantly opted to sell him to Arsenal for €1 million in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Setford, whose older brother Charlie is also at Ajax, is set to become Arsenal’s second signing of the summer, following the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.

The Spain international spent last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium and that move has now been made permanent for €31.9m.
Arsenal have also been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers shot-stopper Dan Bentley and Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, while Setford is set to finalise personal terms and undergo his Arsenal medical, according to The Evening Standard.
Setford has made 33 appearances for Ajax’s U18 side and he is expected to link up with Arsenal’s youth team when he arrives at the Emirates Stadium.

Aaron Ramsdale to leave Arsenal?
Arsenal are actively searching for a new back-up ‘keeper amid concerns over Aaron Ramsdale’s future.
Southampton are among the clubs interested in signing the England international, as per The Sun, while he recently admitted that he isn’t willing to be a second-choice again next season.
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares have already left Arsenal on loan this summer, with Cedric Soares and Mohamed Elneny departing on free transfers following the expiration of their contracts.
While Setford is set to become Arsenal’s latest summer signing, the Gunners are also closing in on Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.
The Italy international has already agreed personal terms, but Arsenal are yet to reach an agreement over his transfer fee and have failed with a bid to include Jakub Kiwior in the deal.
