The Blues have already had a busy summer transfer window and they are far from done. Despite having snapped up Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga and Estevao Willian (for 2025), Chelsea are set to announce at least two more arrivals in the coming days.

In the future, they could yet attempt to sign a third new striker, but for now, Chelsea are closing in on a double swoop for talent from the Americas. According to The Athletic, the Blues 'everything is in place' for the Blues to land the signatures of Aaron Anselmino and Caleb Wiley.

19-year-old centre-back Aaron Anselmino is set to join for a little over €20 million from Boca Juniors, though he will remain with the Argentine giants until January. Afterwards, a decision on his immediate future will be made, with a Strasbourg loan a possible option.

Chelsea also close to Wiley

Chelsea have also reached an agreement with Atlanta United for the transfer of Caleb Wiley. The 19-year-old is heading to the Olympics in Paris with the United States men's national team and then will remain in France.

Wiley's first season in European football will be spent on loan at BlueCo affiliate Strasbourg, who had already wanted to sign the left-back in the winter.

The American is set to join Chelsea for a fee in the region of €10m and will become the second summer signing for the left side of the Blues' defence following the arrival of Veiga. However, Wiley is a much more traditional full-back compared to the Portuguese.

Both deals, the one for Anselmino and the one for Wiley, have been in the works for some time and the only thing missing appears to be the official announcement from the club.
