Chelsea have been saved from making €30m transfer mistake
Chelsea transfer target Karim Adeyemi is reportedly not interested in moving to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Borussia Dortmund have set a €30 million asking price for the winger, which the Blues deem to be a reasonable fee.
Plus, the West London club need a left-winger/striker, so a deal for Adeyemi does make sense from that perspective.

However, Adeyemi is not of the quality that would make a significant difference to Enzo Maresca's side.
Therefore, the Daily Mail's report that Adeyemi is reluctant to join them is actually good news for Chelsea fans.
Chelsea saved from making €30m transfer mistake
Once one of the biggest prospects in the German talent pool, Adeyemi has been unable to consistently perform at a high level in the Bundesliga.
Of course, the winger has his upsides. In the Champions League, he terrified PSG with his blistering pace and he is still the German top flight's fastest-ever player, clocking in at 36.65 kph (22.77 mph) against Freiburg in 2022/23.

Unfortunately, this is pretty much the only area of the game in which Adeyemi has excelled. The winger has shown himself to be unable to offer a consistent goal threat and his chance creation by means other than raw speed has left a lot to be desired.
In a way, he is very reminiscent of Mykhailo Mudryk. The Chelsea attacker, too, evidently has bags of talent and the athletic profile to flourish at the highest level. However, the €70 million man has also yet to impress at Stamford Bridge.
