Chelsea transfer talks over Euro 2024 star to 'advance quickly'

Armando Broja's Chelsea exit could be sealed quickly following Albania's exit from Euro 2024, according to a report.

The Blues' transfer business has been nothing short of breathless so far this summer, with a host of deals already wrapped up. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has become the latest recruit by the Stamford Bridge outfit, joining from Leicester for €35 million.

However, it is not all about incomings for the free-spending Blues. In order to be able to keep splashing the cash, players will need to be moved on. Hakim Ziyech and Ian Maatsen have already departed and more big names are expected to follow suit.

Among the players Chelsea are desperate to get rid of are strikers Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja, with the Blues potentially looking to sign a third new centre-forward following their exits, having already snapped up 18-year-old duo Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu.

Broja could seal quick exit

According to Ben Jacobs, Broja in particular could make a swift exit following Albania's group-stage departure from Euro 2024. The journalist reports that transfer talks are expected to 'advance quickly' now that the striker is no longer on international duty.

The 22-year-old's next club is still not yet known, though Broja has no shortage of suitors despite some difficult seasons on the books at Chelsea. Last term, Broja returned from a heartbreaking ACL injury but failed to win himself a place in Mauricio Pochettino's side before also struggling for minutes on loan at Fulham.

In recent days, Broja has been most prominently associated with Everton, but he also has plenty of admirers on the continent. However, given that Chelsea will demand a hefty fee for him, it seems likely at this stage that he will remain in the Premier League.
