OFFICIAL: Chelsea complete Filip Jorgensen transfer
Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Villarreal's Filip Jorgensen.
The goalkeeper arrives at Stamford Bridge to challenge Robert Sanchez for the No.1 spot in Enzo Maresca's side. The Italian head coach had demanded a new shot-stopper more capable with the ball at his feet than Djordje Petrovic and Jorgensen soon emerged as the Blues' top target.
Chelsea have signed Jorgensen from Villarreal for a fee believed to be worth €24.5 million, with the Dane penning a long-term contract until 2031 at Stamford Bridge.

Negotiations proceeded smoothly with both Villarreal and the player. Chelsea have a good relationship with their LaLiga counterparts after their deal to sign Nicolas Jackson last year, for which they showed themselves willing to pay more than his release clause.
Jorgensen had only recently signed a new contract with Villarreal, but the allure of a big Premier League move proved too great and he swiftly agreed personal terms with the Blues.
Upon confirmation of his move to Stamford Bridge, Jorgensen said: "This move is a dream come true. I am very excited to have signed for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"I can’t wait to get to know everyone and to start playing with all my new teammates."
Chelsea sign another talented youngster
The club have now officially unveiled Jorgensen as a new Chelsea player, with the Dane becoming the latest highly-rated talent to arrive in west London. During his time in Spain, the 22-year-old was seen as one of the best goalkeepers in LaLiga.
It has been another busy summer at Stamford Bridge and Jorgensen is the newest recruit in a long list of arrivals this window. Chelsea have already signed the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo, to name but a few.

Jorgensen's arrival likely spells the end of Djordje Petrovic's short time at Chelsea. Signed from the New England Revolution as a No.2 last year, the Serb eventually supplanted Robert Sanchez as the first-choice option under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, new boss Maresca is not convinced that Petrovic is good enough with the ball at his feet and the goalkeeper has subsequently been made available for transfer.
